Extra Credit Assignment

At birth, I think you are born clueless. You don't have a degree of selfishness or evil that resides in us at birth. The evil doesn't just appear in you as you are born, it takes actions throughout a period of time to inherit a evil or selfishness feeling inside. I think people are inherently good because it is the people of their surroundings that effect there thoughts and actions. People are all good but it is what other people do to influence what is wrong to make a person evil. Society and the environment corrupt people because through the process of growing up, you are affected by many people. Those are the ones that can benefit and help you succeed and some who negatively affect you. Without a society that is not always positive affects the outcome of your thoughts towards people. The picture i chose is a picture of a alien that is surrounded by the other alien community. He is being affected by how they act on him.

School Reforms

Reading the article about the Tacoma reforms, I do not agree on what they are doing. I think it is not fair to the teachers who are getting fired. There talking about removing half the staff at the school and that just causes trouble for everyone and that's their job! I mean, I guess the teacher's do have some blame for the low test scores but it's also due to the community and the amount of poverty in the Tacoma area.
If OHS was in the situation which the Tacoma School District is in, I would feel bad for some teachers who actually teach you and help you as a role of a teacher. Because students do have the blame for their test scores because a lot don't try in school. I've seen many kids in class do nothing and that's why there test scores are so bad. But as I have some teachers who don't teach me nothing(Don't worry its not you), I wouldn't care for them and they deserve to get fired to benefit the students.
Here I found a link to Central Junior High, the school officials for the district are looking at many ways to cover a large deficit. That includes cutting some sports activitys, and cutting staff members. This was cause another big problem just like the situation taking place right now in Tacoma.

Technology

When I Hear about technology, I just am so impressed on how much it has evolved and how much technology we really have. Over the past couple days we have watched and read articles and it has really shocked me on how many facts that I didn’t know. For example, I learned that there are over 200 million registered users on MySpace. That is really amazing to see that millions of people over the world use MySpace to communicate because we have the technology to do so. It has evolved so much we are able to do almost anything. Communicating faster in just a click of a button.
