School Reforms

Reading the article about the Tacoma reforms, I do not agree on what they are doing. I think it is not fair to the teachers who are getting fired. There talking about removing half the staff at the school and that just causes trouble for everyone and that's their job! I mean, I guess the teacher's do have some blame for the low test scores but it's also due to the community and the amount of poverty in the Tacoma area.
If OHS was in the situation which the Tacoma School District is in, I would feel bad for some teachers who actually teach you and help you as a role of a teacher. Because students do have the blame for their test scores because a lot don't try in school. I've seen many kids in class do nothing and that's why there test scores are so bad. But as I have some teachers who don't teach me nothing(Don't worry its not you), I wouldn't care for them and they deserve to get fired to benefit the students.
Here I found a link to Central Junior High, the school officials for the district are looking at many ways to cover a large deficit. That includes cutting some sports activitys, and cutting staff members. This was cause another big problem just like the situation taking place right now in Tacoma.
